Job description

Job Summary

The LPN provides care to patients in accordance with their developmental needs, following the standards of the Department of Nursing and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Perform complete assessment data collection, under the supervision of an RN and / or provider, on all patients  
  • Assess and reassess pain.  Educates the patient and family regarding pain management
  • Observe and identify adverse changes in patient condition and notifies appropriate RN and / or   provider
  • Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration
  • Interacts professionally with patient and family. Involves patient and family in patient education.
  • Cleans and operates equipment correctly
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED:

  • Current New York State Practical Nursing Registration.
  • CPR
