Job description

The Payroll Specialist / Manager plays a critical role in managing and processing payroll accurately and efficiently for our nationwide firm. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in data entry and employee file management, ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and timely resolution of any payroll discrepancies. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong communication skills and familiarity with payroll and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and maintain payroll data, including direct deposit requests, garnishments, and support orders.
  • Review payroll hours in the timekeeping system and address discrepancies with managers promptly.
  • Maintain employee records with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Administer PTO, insurance, and 401K related payroll functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll laws and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and management regarding payroll-related inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Attendance on Demand timekeeping system.
  • Familiarity with Paychex Flex payroll software.
