Customer Service Representative

Salary Range $30.00 - $32.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time

Overview

Position Summary: Responsible for answering phone calls and handling all facets of day-to-day customer service, including but not limited to entering and coordinating orders, invoicing, inventory control and communicating with the sales and operations. Work cross-functionally with other team members at the branch. Monday thru Friday; Starting at $30-32, DOE.

Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
  • Receive customer calls and writes orders, provides pricing, product and delivery information utilizing established price books/lists and product information
  • Coordinate orders with operations and sales as needed
  • Assist customers with any issues regarding orders
  • Communicate order information and status to appropriate Account Managers for their customers
  • Issue vendor debit/credit memos as needed to correct receiving discrepancies
  • Process all billing and invoicing to customers
  • Responsible for the receiving, administration and control of the physical inventory, maintaining balances with perpetual inventory.
  • Initiate adjustments in company software as necessary to keep physical inventory in balance with perpetual inventory. Participating in physical inventories
  • Maintain on-going product knowledge
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during employment.

Education / Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited academic institution or commensurate industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and order/inventory software systems.
  • Demonstrated skills using Excel to maintain spreadsheets, database files/lists and prepare special reports.
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with team members and building relationships with vendors/suppliers.
