Job description

Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our on-site Child Support Services call center, supporting parents, employers, and recipients with payment and account inquiries. This role requires strong customer service skills, comfort handling high-volume inbound calls, and the ability to communicate clearly across phone, chat, and email.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism, accuracy, and adaptability are essential.

Work Site: 10390 Peter A McCuen Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA

Work Schedule: Shift time is Monday-Friday from 9:15 AM to 6:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Manage high-volume inbound calls from Parent Paying Support (PPS), Person Receiving Support (PRS), and employers.
  • Registering PPS to make electronic payments. Informing Person Receiving Support (PRS), the options they have for receiving payments: EPC, bank account/direct deposit
  • Informing Employers of the options for making payments for their employees who are ordered to pay child support Registering Employers to make electronic payments
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, chat, and email.
  • Provide high-quality service by effectively understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a friendly attitude while resolving customer issues.
  • Adapt to ongoing policy and procedure updates within the team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Strong computer and phone skills; proficiency in web-based applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage customer interactions with confidence and provide resolutions effectively.
