Job description

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
  • Provide training for new cashiers and courtesy clerks in all job related areas.
  • Give produce test to authorized cash register operators on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in keeping checkout lines moving as fast as possible.
  • Assist cashiers in unloading the bottom of shopping carts.
  • Obtain change for cashiers as needed.
  • Approve checks.
  • Accountable for security of all safe combinations entrusted to you.
  • Maintain all proper paperwork.
  • Assist cashiers with voids.
  • Delegate cleaning duties to appropriate associates.
  • Approve customer refunds.
  • Regularly inspect cashier tills.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
