Job Summary

The Service Operations Assistant supports the Service Operations Manager in overseeing front-end operations and customer service functions throughout the store. This position helps ensure exceptional customer service, efficient store operations, regulatory compliance, and associate development. The Service Operations Assistant plays a key role in maintaining a positive shopping environment while supporting operational goals, customer satisfaction, and store profitability.

Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations
  • Assist in overseeing daily front-end operations, including checkout, customer service, self-checkout, and cash office functions.
  • Help ensure adequate staffing and effective deployment of associates throughout the day.
  • Monitor front-end productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Support execution of company programs, promotions, and customer service initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment.
Customer Service
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and serve as a resource for customers and associates.
  • Handle customer concerns, questions, refunds, and service recovery situations professionally.
  • Promote a customer-first culture focused on engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Support initiatives designed to improve the overall shopping experience.
Cash Handling & Compliance
  • Assist with cash management procedures, register accountability, and balancing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company cash-handling policies and operational procedures.
  • Support audits, cash office functions, and financial accuracy standards.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing front-end associates.

  • Help coordinate schedules, breaks, and daily work assignments.
  • Provide performance feedback and support associate growth and development.
  • Serve as a leader on duty when assigned and support store-wide operations.
Operational Excellence

  • Monitor queue management, checkout efficiency, and customer wait times.
  • Support execution of operational initiatives and process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with department leaders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Safety & Compliance

Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
