Customer Project Manager

Take charge of our day-to-day operations, so we remain the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.
Join our team as a Customer Project Manager, where you will serve as the primary liaison between maintenance teams and our customers, ensuring seamless project execution. In this role, you will manage the service and delivery for multiple clients and multiple corporate aircraft. At StandardAero's Augusta, GA Business Aviation MRO, we service 27 models of mid-sized corporate aircraft on the Airframe side of our operations, while our Engine Shops performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art test cells. Our facility supports an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer.
What You'll Do:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between customers and Crew Chiefs, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
  • Manage approximately five (5) clients at a time, balancing multiple projects while ensuring high-quality service and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and oversee program plans and schedules, ensuring adherence to milestones and operational targets.
  • Utilize control systems and reports to measure project progress, including project schedules, budgets, material orders, labor targets, and Contract Change Orders (CCO).
  • Identify potential project challenges and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all company contract commitments are met and executed per customer agreements.
  • Coordinate technical activities across departments, including production, procurement, quality control, logistics, and administration.
  • Obtain customer approvals for work scope changes and overtime as needed.
  • Provide alternative solutions and justifications for deviations from the project plan while developing recovery strategies.
  • Drive sales by informing customers about company capabilities, special programs, and pricing incentives.
  • Prepare customer quotations and administer warranty claims and special programs.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper labor, materials, cost, and contract compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns and billing disputes in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide quality, environmental, and Safety Management System (SMS) policies.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance project management experience in Aviation.
  • Minimum 1 year of Corporate/Business Aviation experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Project/ SharePoint/ Excel/ Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a matrix environment without direct reporting responsibility.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Characteristics:
  • Experience working with Hawker, Gulfstream, Challenger, Falcon, and/or Embraer corporate aircraft.
  • Specialized certification(s)/training from a technical school, aircraft manufacturer, OEM supplier, FlightSafety, and/or CAE.
  • Experience working in a Business Aviation MRO facility.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM)
  • Strong business and financial acumen relevant to aviation, billing, and financial statements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong customer relations and conflict resolution skills.
