Build an Aviation Career You're Proud Of

Take charge of our day-to-day operations, so we remain the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.

Join StandardAero as a Customer Project Manager (CPM) supporting our HTF7000 and TFE731 turbofan engine service offerings. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the primary liaison between customers, OEM partners, and internal maintenance teams, ensuring engine maintenance events are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is ideal for a customer-focused aviation professional who thrives in a matrixed MRO environment and enjoys managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, OEM suppliers, MSP administrators, and internal production teams throughout the turbofan maintenance lifecycle.
  • Manage engine maintenance programs for up to 30 active customers, ensuring consistent communication, on-time delivery, and high service quality.
  • Establish operational objectives, project plans, and execution strategies aligned with contractual and performance goals.
  • Develop, manage, and track project schedules, budgets, labor targets, material requirements, and Contract Change Orders (CCOs).
  • Monitor project performance using control systems and reporting tools to proactively identify risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate technical activities across production, engineering, procurement, quality, logistics, and administrative teams.
  • Obtain customer approvals for scope changes, cost adjustments, and overtime requirements as needed.
  • Provide alternative solutions and recovery plans when deviations from the project plan occur.
  • Support commercial growth by educating customers on StandardAero capabilities, TFE731 / HTF7000 programs, pricing initiatives, and warranty opportunities.
  • Prepare customer quotations and administer warranty claims and special engine programs.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with labor, material, contractual, and billing requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns and billing disputes in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company quality standards, environmental requirements, and Safety Management System (SMS) policies.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience in aviation, with exposure to turbine engines preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience, working across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM) and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment without direct authority.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work on-site in support of engine maintenance operations.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within aviation, ideally in a turbine engine or MRO environment.
  • FAA Powerplant License.
  • Experience supporting TFE731 or HTF7000 turbofan engines or similar Honeywell propulsion products.
  • Specialized OEM, manufacturer, or technical training (Honeywell, FlightSafety, CAE, or accredited technical schools).
  • Prior experience working in a Business Aviation MRO.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including aviation billing, cost controls, and contract compliance.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making skills and situational awareness.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven customer relationship management and conflict resolution capabilities.
