Job description

The operations coordinator supports MidAmerican Energy Company's customer operations to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. The position is responsible for processing supplier invoices into the requisitioning application. This includes verifying the remittance address, payment amount, terms, and merchandise on invoice with the purchase order. Responsible for accurate data entry, invoice tracking and follow through to ensure timely vendor payment. Under minimal supervision, the position ensures vendor invoicing is processed in an accurate and timely manner. Also, this position is responsible for providing support in maintaining and tracking statistical reports and monthly O&M and capital budgets.

Ensures vendor invoices are processed in a timely fashion and are matched to support documents, including but not limited to timesheets, rate schedules and contract information. 

Enters vendor invoices into the requisitioning application, ensuring proper accounting codes. 

Tracks errors and corrections to assist in developing metrics by which to evaluate vendors. 

Performs labor, materials, and vendor reclassifications for customer operations. 

Assists in studies, data gathering, and report generating on activities using available technology resources. 

Provides assistance to customer operations management. 

Works with management to identify sources of data and implements processes to support cost determination and ongoing tracking. 

Analyzes business unit O&M and capital expenditures and recommends areas to improve business unit efficiency. 

Maintains databases, reports data, and create reports on a scheduled basis and as requested. 

Maintains electronic filings per MidAmerican Energy retention guidelines. 

Performs Reception desk duties, visitor management.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
