Job description

Tinker Federal Credit Union’s Oklahoma City Northeast 23rd Street branch has an immediate opening for a Branch Operations Assistant! As a Branch Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Consistently providing an atmosphere of high-quality member service
  • Supporting credit union sales efforts and performing basic transactions for members with regard to products and services
  • Consulting with members and providing solutions to match their needs
  • Projecting a positive image as representative for the credit union in receiving visitors and guests
  • Completing various tasks within the branch including but not limited to; answering phones, processing mail, and working as a safe deposit representative
  • Ensuring all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential and ensuring established security procedures are followed

Salary Range:

This is a non-exempt position. The starting hourly rate is $20.00 per hour; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

Schedule:  

Approximately Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, rotating Saturdays 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Education/Experience:

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one-year applicable work experience in a related position is preferred. Financial institution experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

  • Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority
  • TFCU University certification required and completed

  • A passion for helping customers and working with a cohesive team to accomplish excellent customer service. 
  • Flexibility to learn and perform different functions of the role including cross-training into other areas as well.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and stay organized. 
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of TFCU products and services.
  • Knowledge of privacy procedures, confidentiality guidelines and cash handling standards.
  • Ability to use and maintain basic, fundamental office equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and preferably experience with Microsoft Office.
