Job description

Pay Range: $24.00- $35.05

Covering Burlington, Essex, South Burlington, Colchester, Saint Albans and Barre

$3000.00 Sign on Bonus 

SUMMARY
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operation of the meat department inclusive of fresh meat case, deli, frozen case and custom cut department (where applicable) to include achieving budgeted financial results, ordering product/merchandise, human resource/training, and inventory control measures. Ensures that all corporate policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Maintains excellent customer relations (both internally and externally) within the meat department on an on-going basis by offering friendly service and a courteous attitude. Satisfies the customer by offering a fresh high quality product at all times to promote optimal opportunity for sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Does not supervise associates on a regular basis. 
Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
Responsible for proper handling and merchandising of all meat products according to company policy.
Display and express a complete knowledge of all meat products to the customer.
Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.  
Responsible for achieving all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department as stipulated in the store profit plan (i.e.: CTO budgeted sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory levels, wrap and payroll).
Manage the day-to-day operation of the Meat Department, including scheduling, training and other administrative duties.
Order meat products and ensure that inventory control methods are in place.
Responsible for cutting meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and  grinders.  Maintain corporate safety standards throughout the meat department.  
Oversee all Meat Department associates and ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.  Responsible for training of all meat associates in accordance with all corporate and state policies and procedures.  
Responsible to maintain all corporate assets within the meat department.  
Adhere to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines including corporate, state and federal inspection guidelines. 
Maintain grind logs, and meat logs consistent with store policy.
Responsible for the store at the need and discretion of the Store Manager.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Basic computer skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 3+ years of related experience.
