Job description

Construction Manager – Residential New Construction

Central & Eastern North Carolina

A well-capitalized, high-volume residential builder is hiring a Construction Manager to oversee 20+ new construction homes across Central and Eastern North Carolina. We specialize in infill development and small subdivisions and are scaling rapidly.

This role is for someone who understands production-style homebuilding, tight schedules, inspections, subcontractor management, and quality control — not one-off custom projects.

What You’ll Do

You will manage multiple homes from lot prep through Certificate of Occupancy.

• Manage 20+ homes simultaneously
• Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities
• Schedule and manage subcontractors
• Conduct quality-control walks and punch lists
• Coordinate all inspections (framing, electrical, plumbing, final, etc.)
• Ensure all work meets NC Residential Code and company standards
• Enforce jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
• Track schedules and keep homes on budget
• Coordinate material deliveries and scopes of work
• Update project status in the company’s build-tracking system
• Interface with inspectors, vendors, and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of residential new-construction experience
• Experience managing high-volume production homes
• Strong understanding of NC residential codes and inspections
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and schedules
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

License Preference

North Carolina General Contractor License preferred
• Or ability to qualify with verifiable experience and references

Strong candidates will be supported in license upgrades.

Why This Company Is Different

Most builders operate in chaos — scattered jobs, inconsistent volume, and constant cash-flow pressure. This company runs a real construction pipeline.

• Homes are pre-sold, funded, and permitted before construction begins
• You don’t chase work — homes are already lined up
• Subcontractors are established and paid on time
• Schedules, scopes, and inspections are organized
• You focus on building, not billing

We are growing through infill and small subdivisions across Central and Eastern NC with a long runway of projects.

Who This Is For

This is a career-level Construction Manager role for someone who wants to run a large book of homes in a stable, professional, high-volume environment.

If you’re ready to move beyond one-off jobs and into a real production builder role, we want to hear from you.

Apply with your resume and brief construction background.
