Job description

 

Position Summary

Custom Air is seeking an experienced and dependable Residential Electrician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and/or light commercial electrical systems while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining all safety and code requirements.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems including wiring, panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures 
  • Perform electrical inspections and troubleshoot system issues efficiently 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams 
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes 
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and safety concerns 
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and job records 
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures 
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required 

Qualifications 

  • Valid Electrical License (Journeyman or higher, based on role requirements) 
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on electrical experience 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residential service experience 
  • Experience with service software or mobile dispatch systems 
  • Generator, panel upgrade, transfer switch installations or specialty electrical experience
