We are seeking Business professionals to join our faculty team. As a faculty member, you'll provide practical hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve learning outcomes.
The Instructional Faculty - Pharmacology is responsible for delivering high-quality pharmacology instruction within the Physician Assistant (PA) Program and supporting the integration of pharmacology principles throughout the didactic curriculum. This role provides subject matter expertise in pharmacology and therapeutics and serves as the primary instructor for designated pharmacology courses.
As a faculty member, the primary role is to provide academic instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating evidence-based and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and achievement of program learning outcomes in alignment with ARC-PA accreditation Standards.
Part-time (0.2 FTE) non-tenure.
Instructional Faculty and Teaching:
  • Serve as instructor of record for Pharmacology I - VI courses.
  • Provide student instruction and performance evaluation using evidence-based teaching methods and constructive, non-punitive feedback.
  • Assess student learning through examinations, assignments, and performance-based assessments, providing timely feedback.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate pharmacology course content aligned with PA program outcomes and ARC-PA Standards.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in pharmacology and therapeutics relevant to PA clinical practice.
  • Utilize the program's Learning Management System (LMS) to post course materials, communicate with students, and manage grading.
  • Provide academic support and remediation to students as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate availability and professional communication with students consistent with program expectations.

Curriculum and Program Support:
  • Serve as the pharmacology subject matter expert for the PA program.
  • Collaborate with principal faculty and course directors to ensure horizontal and vertical integration of pharmacology content across the curriculum.
  • Support curriculum development, assessment design, and alignment of pharmacology learning outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing program assessment and continuous quality improvement activities as appropriate.
  • Participate in remediation activities, and program-related events when assigned.
  • Timely completion of teaching responsibilities.
  • Maintain currency in pharmacology, therapeutics, and PA education through ongoing professional development.

Job Requirements
  • Instructional Faculty are licensed health care professionals qualified in their area of instruction.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience required.
  • Prior teaching experience in pharmacology, therapeutics, or health professions education preferred.
  • Experience teaching or working with Physician Assistant students, medical students, or other health professions learners preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with program faculty.
