Division / Department: Operations - Scripture and Culture
FLSA: Exempt
Schedule: Full-Time, to include evenings and weekends
Reporting Manager: Executive Manager of Operations
Travel: 25%
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Executive Manager of Operations, the Scripture & Culture Program Administrator will oversee the facilitation and administration of the Public Reading of Scripture (PRS) and Just Show Up (JSU) Book Club. This role ensures that all gatherings, donor reporting, and program activities align with the museum's mission and endowment agreements. The administrator will manage logistics for weekly staff and community sessions, daily guest readings, monthly hill staff sessions, and future program expansions, while maintaining compliance with donor requirements and financial stewardship.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Duties
  • Oversee regular PRS and JSU programs as outlined in the endowment agreement.
  • Coordinate weekly PRS and JSU gatherings for museum staff and D.C. professionals, and daily PRS readings for visitors.
  • Develop schedules, secure spaces, and manage logistics for all sessions and special events.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce of program activities, attendance, and donor reporting requirements.
  • Serve as primary liaison for internal teams and external partners involved in PRS and JSU programs.
  • Oversee use of audio resources and ensure quality standards for readings and discussions.
  • Assist in creating reflection guides, promotional materials, and digital engagement tools.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Manager of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in theology, education, communications, hospitality or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in program coordination, nonprofit administration, or event management.

Skills / Core Competencies
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with donor or event management software preferred (Salesforce, Momentus).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Abilities / Attributes
  • Familiarity with Christian traditions and biblical literacy required
  • Comfortable facilitating group gatherings and discussions.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Champion the Museum of the Bible's mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
  • As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.

Pay Range: $55,000 per year
