Job Description
The CTE Program Coordinator will report to the Dean of Academic Affairs. This position is a part-time position that is scheduled to work up to 24 hours per week and is comprised of four core responsibility areas:
Student Success and Student Academic Support (25%)
The employee will ensure students' access to programs, services, and resources and will monitor students' progress using the college's retention and advising software. The Coach will also focus on aligning students' career goals and educational abilities with appropriate CTE pathways, identifying at-risk students, and responding to faculty alerts related to any CTE student. Additional responsibilities include empowering advisees to effectively communicate with faculty and student services and to develop self-advocacy skills; connecting advisees to resources and support services such as financial aid, career services, academic support, and disability services; regularly attending assigned divisional meetings; and remaining current with divisional and college policies and procedures.
Work-based Learning/Career Exploration (25%)
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and evaluating WBL programs; facilitating student internships, job shadows, mentorships, and faculty externships; and maintaining a database of stakeholders and opportunities. The coordinator advises students, supports faculty, collaborates with business and industry partners, and ensures program compliance with relevant policies and regulations. They promote career readiness through employer engagement, data tracking, community outreach while also serving as support for the joint advisory committee. Will seek and create experiential learning opportunities for students. Will manage and design the WBL and ACA 111 course design for the college.
Program Management (25%)
The employee will assist in the oversight of the daily administrative and operational functions of assigned CTE programs to ensure alignment with institutional goals and federal compliance guidelines. Responsibilities include managing reporting requirements and tracking performance indicators for the Perkins Grant; monitoring program expenditures to ensure alignment with grant allocations; and collecting, analyzing, and reporting student outcome data to support institutional effectiveness. The coordinator will assist the Dean and Faculty in the planning and facilitation of CTE Advisory Committee meetings, ensuring robust engagement with local business, industry, and educational partners. Additionally, the employee will collaborate with the Dean of Academic Affairs to ensure all program activities comply with state curriculum standards and regional accreditation requirements, while actively identifying opportunities to scale and sustain program initiatives beyond the grant funding cycle.
Instructional Design (25%)
The employee will lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of high-quality, student-centered curriculum for CTE pathways, with a primary focus on Work-Based Learning (WBL) and ACA 111 courses, while support faculty in course design and development using the college's LMS. Utilizing evidence-based pedagogical frameworks-including the Quality Matters/OSCQR rubrics, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) principles-the coordinator will design engaging, accessible instructional materials for online, hybrid, and face-to-face environments. Responsibilities include collaborating with faculty to integrate career-readiness competencies and industry-standard technologies into existing coursework; establishing clear, measurable course student learning outcomes (CSLOs); and developing comprehensive evaluation metrics to assess instructional effectiveness. The employee will also provide targeted coaching and resources to instructional personnel to promote innovative teaching practices that enhance student engagement and retention.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in working with students and their records. Supports the aims, objectives, goals, and mission of the college.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Counseling, Business or related field.
