Job description

Job Summary
Join our professional Food and Beverage Team serving guests in our restaurant outlets! The restaurant bartender is responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. Position anticipated to start late April or early May.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes.
  • Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
  • Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages.
  • Assure that opening checklist is completed and that the restaurant is prepared for opening.
  • Complete closing checklist.
  • Up-sell drink specials and food items as directed by management.
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks & appetizers for bar patrons.
  • Clear and reset tables in bar area.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
  • Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
  • Complete all side-work duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
Competencies:
  • TIPS/TAMS certification required.
  • Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.

Education:
  • High School or Equivalent

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
