The UF Department of Emergency Medicine proudly maintains an affiliation with UF Health Shands Hospital, a distinguished 1,162-bed teaching facility renowned for its Level 1 trauma center and cutting-edge burn center. As the primary referral center for North Central Florida, our institution stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare. This affiliation underscores our commitment to top-tier medical care and innovation.

- New hospital, fresh start.
- Be among the first to practice in a purpose-built microhospital using an innovative care model.
- Manageable volume. Fewer than 10,000 visits expected in year one.

Required Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes* plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
Preferred - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Qualified for licensure in the State of Florida Federal DEA Certification
