Do you need a license to clean pools?

In most states, including those where pool cleaning is considered a regulated service, a license or business permit is required to operate legally. It's important for pool cleaning professionals to follow state and local laws and maintain proper safety standards.

Is pool cleaning a good side hustle?

Pool cleaning is a viable side hustle that involves maintaining and cleaning residential or commercial pools, often requiring knowledge of cleaning tools and chemicals. It typically offers flexible hours and can generate steady income, especially during peak swimming season. However, it may require physical effort and safety precautions when handling chemicals and equipment.

What are part time pool cleaning jobs?

Part time pool cleaning jobs involve maintaining and cleaning swimming pools on a part-time schedule, often for private homes, apartment complexes, or public facilities. Responsibilities typically include skimming debris, vacuuming the pool, checking and adjusting chemical levels, cleaning filters, and inspecting equipment for proper operation. These positions usually offer flexible hours and may require working early mornings or weekends. Prior experience is helpful but not always required, and on-the-job training is often provided. Pool cleaners need to be detail-oriented, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors.

How much do pool cleaners charge an hour?
