We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Financial Integrations Engineer to join our fast-paced Financial Systems team. In this role, you will be the ultimate "subject matter expert" for our Workday integrations. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while working closely with a supportive team of financial analysts, accountants, and engineers. If you love building complex solutions from scratch, translating functional requirements into flawless architecture, and navigating novel situations with confidence, this is the perfect role for you.

Location; US Remote or Hybrid (Needham)

What You'll Do:

As a core member of our financial integrations team, you will:

  • Build & Innovate: Build Workday Studio Integrations from scratch, unassisted, in novel situations.
  • Architect Solutions: Utilize Workday Web services to inbound complex data into Workday systems, applying deep experience with SOAP XML & REST APIs.
  • Lead & Collaborate: Able to gather requirements, spec projects, lead meetings with internal and external teams, update shareholders, and build integrations.
  • Design & Translate: Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to translate functional requirements from accountants and financial analysts into actionable design.
  • Report & Visualize: Display a strong ability to build calculated fields, custom reports, and matrix reports.
  • Deploy Forms: Proficient in building BIRT forms and deploying them to the Workday UI; as well as building BIRT forms and embedding them within Studio assemblies.
  • Harness Prism & Orchestrate: Identify use cases for Workday Prism, building solutions from scratch.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert: Comfort working autonomously and serving as the go-to expert with Workday integrations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with building and supporting integrations for the core functional areas of Workday Financials as well as Prism and Accounting Center.
  • Technical Mastery: Mastered XSLT and possess experience with XSL 3.0.
  • Integration Ecosystem: Familiarity with the appropriate use cases for EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformations, RaaS calls, and Studio Integrations.
  • Data & Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Workday data object model and Workday business processes—especially those involved in Workday payment networks, settlement, customer management, general ledger posting rules, and bank account routing rules.
  • Awareness: Knowledge of when to use Workday Orchestrate vs Workday Studio
  • Security & Protocols: Firm grasp of Workday security setups (User-based security, security domains, integration system security) and a solid knowledge of server authentication and protocol negotiation.
  • Finance Acumen: Familiarity with finance and accounting terminology and processes.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You are a true team player who thrives in a supportive, cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work.

The salary range for this role is $155,000-$170,000 This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee's pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
