Salary: $30 - $40 hourly

In 2023, LoveShackFancy launched Beauty exclusively at Sephora, inviting millions into its rose-colored world of whimsy and celebration.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have a strong background in womens contemporary sweater development; familiarity with C&S, swim, and active is a plus; fitting on size 4 and grading to size 2 for SMS
  • Collaborate with Design to develop tech packs, including spec pages, construction details, documenting fit comments, and bill of materials from start to finish of the development cycle; translate design sketches and/or samples into spec and construction pages; review tech packs prior to turnover for accuracy
  • Partner with Design on layout comments and placements, ensuring artwork and stitch layout are finalized and communicated to factories to achieve proto and SMS
  • Participate in design-led fit sessions on live models with cross-functional teams, leading technical aspects of fit and partnering with Design to achieve the vision
  • Provide technical direction, internally and externally, on corrective actions needed to bring samples to brand fit standards; utilize written comments, sketches, photos, or patternmaking as needed to communicate
  • Communicate fit and construction issues through clear written and/or visual methods
  • Anticipate and resolve potential SMS and development issues during the fit process; partner with vendors on resolution as needed
  • Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval
  • Establish construction standards across all yarn types
  • Maintain brand fit, spec, and construction consistency
  • Maintain professional and timely daily email correspondence with overseas vendors
  • Clearly articulate fit issues and present solutions during fit sessions to cross-functional teams
  • Take accountability for resolving fit issues and clearly communicate with vendors via email and Zoom within tight timelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the T&A calendar is maintained
  • Respond to all technical questions from overseas factories during proto and SMS development

SKILLS, QUALITIES & BEHAVIORS:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college
  • 8-10 years of Technical Design experience in the designer or contemporary market
  • Strong understanding of the LoveShackFancy brand and aesthetic with a highly trained eye for fit and quality
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Extensive knowledge of construction and patternmaking
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and work simultaneously across different departments
