Crop Scouts work independently but often communicate findings regularly with farm managers, agronomists, and crop consultants. To thrive as a Crop Scout, you need a solid understanding of plant science, pest identification, and crop management, often supported by agricultural coursework or related field experience. Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and clear communication help crop scouts accurately document findings and advise growers. These skills are essential to ensure early detection of issues and support effective crop management decisions.
