ROLE:

Schnabel is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Specialist to join our team.  This role has the potential for a hybrid or remote work schedule with periodic travel to corporate and regional offices, customer events, trade shows, and company meetings.

This position will serve as the operational backbone of Schnabel’s Business Development and Marketing department.  The operations specialist will be responsible for administering and optimizing Followup CRM, supporting executive reporting and dashboards, driving CRM adoption across the company, coordinating marketing initiatives, and providing operational support for business development efforts.

Working closely with the Director of Business Development & Marketing, this individual will help improve business processes, maximize technology investments, increase CRM adoption, support strategic marketing initiatives, and deliver the reporting and analytics necessary to support the company’s continued growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting the Director of Business Development & Marketing with the following tasks:

CRM Administration

  • Administration in Followup CRM.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Build and maintain reports supporting executive leadership, BD & Marketing.
  • Manage CRM users, licenses, permissions, workflows, and system configuration.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity, governance, and overall system health.
  • Partner with Followup CRM support to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
  • Develop CRM workflows, automations, and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain CRM training materials, documentation, and instructional videos.
  • Lead CRM user onboarding and ongoing training while driving company-wide adoption.
  • Monitor CRM utilization and recommend continued improvements.
  • Coordinate CRM enhancements, user feedback, testing, and implementation of new features.

Business Development support

  • Support the Director of BD & Marketing with strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Coordinate customer and prospect information within the CRM.
  • Support opportunity tracking, account management, customer intelligence, and business development reporting.
  • Assist in preparing executive presentations, customer presentations, and business development materials.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, internal planning sessions, and business development activities.

Marketing Operations 

  • Coordinate trade show planning, logistics, booth materials, shipping, registrations, budgets, and post-event reporting.
  • When requested, represent Schnabel at regional and national trade shows, conferences, customer events, and industry associations by working the booth, engaging attendees, capturing leads, supporting preconstruction follow-up activities, and helping promote Schnabel’s capabilities and brand.
  • Assist with digital marketing initiatives including website management, social media, email marketing, content development, photography, video production, and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate marketing calendars and campaign execution.
  • Support recruiting marketing initiatives and employer branding efforts.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce executive dashboards for Business Development and Marketing, KPI reporting, and business intelligence that supports strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure recurring KPI reports and business performance metrics are accurate.
  • Analyze CRM utilization and recommend process improvements.
  • Support Director and Executive reporting requests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Will accept documented professional experience in the construction industry in lieu of degree requirement.
  • 3 years of experience supporting CRM administration, sales operations, marketing operations, business development, or related functions.
  • Experience administering CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise CRM Systems.
  • Experience developing dashboards, executive reporting, and KPI metrics.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
