Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing Analyst supports the Natural Gas, Crude Oil, and NGL Marketing team by providing market analysis, commercial reporting, forecasting support, and data-driven insights. This role assists in evaluating commodity pricing, market conditions, transportation performance, and revenue opportunities to support marketing and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports.
  • Monitor natural gas, crude oil, and NGL pricing and market trends.
  • Analyze realized pricing, basis differentials, and sales performance.
  • Support volume forecasting and production marketing activities.
  • Assist in evaluating transportation, gathering, processing, and storage performance.
  • Maintain commercial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze customer, purchaser, pipeline, and processor data.
  • Support month-end revenue and settlement reconciliation activities.
  • Gather and distribute market intelligence from industry publications and market data services.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes.
  • Maintain commercial databases and ensure data integrity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Energy Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
  • Understanding of oil and gas industry fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data reporting tools.
  • Basic understanding of commodity pricing and transportation markets.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Office Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
