Men's Locker Room Assistant
Position Description
BSU's Children's Physical Developmental Clinic (CPDC) is a nationally recognized academic program that fosters professional development, service learning, and leadership development. The CPDC provides students from all majors opportunity to work with children and youth with disabilities, ages 18 months to 18 years.
Become part of this elite group of male BSU students to assist with the daily activities of the Men's Locker Room "Blue Crew" such as:
  • assist children with disabilities with ambulatory need
  • changing of swim gear
  • other duties as assigned

Eligibility requirements:
  • Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Must be able to work Saturday morning from 8:30am to 11:30pm (8 Saturdays each semester).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children, especially in athletic, recreational, educational, or camp settings
  • Experience supporting children with physical, developmental, intellectual, sensory, or behavioral disabilities
  • Knowledge of inclusive recreation practices
  • Understanding of common disabilities and how they may affect communication, mobility, behavior, or safety
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children using different communication styles and abilities
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, therapists, teachers, and other staff
