The Role + Purpose
  • Work closely with Senior Designer in researching seasonal trends, themes, colors, and raw materials to compile comprehensive market research.
  • Work closely with Senior Designer in designing into each concept and creating technical sketches (CADS).
  • Prepare professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, and garment samples.
  • Work with Senior Designer in each process for preparing design cards from initial concept to bulk.
  • Assist in maintaining all components of the design card are up to date with correct information.
  • Update seasonal visual line sheets with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Maintain protos and design samples.

Qualifications
  • 0-2 years Design experience
  • Apparel Design degree
  • Demonstrated creative sense and ability
  • Trend/fashion awareness
  • Strong technical sketching ability on Adobe Illustrator is a must (design sketches and CADS)
  • Working knowledge of garment construction
  • Sweater design knowledge or experience is a plus
  • Garment measurement and specification experience
  • Excellent color sense
  • Self directed
  • Detail-oriented
  • Team player
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Good follow through, sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to do creative, focused visual presentations

Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $71,250.00
