Commercial Construction Estimator


Location: Monroe, LA

Crest Construction & Commercial Roofing specializes in commercial construction and low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, roof coatings, and metal roofing systems. We work with owners, architects, property managers, general contractors, and clients who expect accurate scopes, clear communication, and quality work.


Crest Construction & Commercial Roofing is hiring an Estimator to prepare estimates for commercial roofing and related construction projects. This role will include estimating roofing work in both the retail/private market and the insurance construction space.

The right candidate will understand roofing systems, construction practices, takeoffs, scopes, and documentation. Experience with Xactimate, insurance estimating, and JobTread is highly valuable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects
  • Estimate commercial and residential roofing work in the retail/private market and in the insurance construction space
  • Review plans, specifications, drawings, photos, scopes, and project documents
  • Perform takeoffs and prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
  • Use Xactimate for insurance-related estimating when applicable
  • Use JobTread or similar software for estimating and project information
  • Solicit and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare clear scopes of work and bid documentation
  • Communicate with ownership, project managers, superintendents, vendors, and clients
  • Support clean handoffs from estimating to project management and field operations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of roofing or construction estimating experience preferred
  • Commercial roofing estimating experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with low-slope roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, coatings, and metal systems is a plus
  • Xactimate experience strongly preferred
  • Insurance construction estimating experience strongly preferred
  • JobTread experience preferred
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, scopes, and construction documents
  • Strong understanding of labor, material, production, and project costs
  • College degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to produce accurate estimates under deadlines

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Base salary: $80,000-$90,000 + performance-based bonus tied to project profitability and estimating accuracy
  • Top performers will make $150K+ total compensation
  • Higher Compensation Consideration: Candidates with strong Xactimate and insurance construction estimating experience may be considered above the listed base range
