A pet crematory driver transports pets between veterinary clinics, clients homes and the crematory facility. This role demands deep empathy, strict adherence to chain-of-custody protocols, and the physical ability to lift heavy loads. The Driver plays a vital role in supporting the transport operations of a small team, typically reporting to the Office Manager or Operations Manager. This position involves frequent interaction with external clients and requires travel to pick up at the various clinics and clients we service in a tri-state area. The Driver contributes to effective office coordination through a variety of support tasks, with opportunities for growth based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate fleet vehicles to pick up and return pets, ensuring respectful, dignified, and timely logistics.
- Strictly log paperwork, tags, and identification numbers to guarantee accurate tracking of private and communal cremations.
- Deliver comforting, empathetic service when interacting with grieving pet owners and clinical staff.
- Assist with packaging remains, and maintaining general crematory cleanliness.
- Assist in making clay and ink paw prints and nose prints of pets.
- Drop off cremated remains to clinics and clients homes if needed
- Assist in unloading clients pets at crematory facility
- Manage reception duties including greeting visitors and answering phones if needed.
- Track and maintain card and stickers supplies for clinics
- Keep detailed records and prepare necessary documents
- Excellent record-keeping skills to ensure 100% accuracy in pet identification
-  Ability to lift and carry heavy pets/supplies (often up to 75–100 lbs).

Our facility hosts three crematories on site that are manufactured with the highest ratings for safety and efficiency. They include the newest technology to ensure that emission standards are exceeded. Our crematory service does allow clients to make appointments to be present for cremations and allows same day service with a scheduled appointment. In addition to our cremation services, we have a full-service dedicated cemetery on property that has a breathtaking view of Colorado's scenic Front Range.
Our main goal during the passing of a pet is to make the experience as stress free as possible. Our turnaround time from the pickup of a pet to their return to the clinic is two business days, for Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Cheyenne, and Berthoud area. For further, clinics we offer return services within three to four business days.
