For over 70 years Global Industrial has been an industry leader providing private label and brand name industrial equipment and supplies to businesses throughout North America.

We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for achieving maximum credit release while vetting orders to ensure they meet the standards set.

    Research and compile credit information on customers to facilitate order release
    Perform credit application and trade reference research to obtain credit evidence from financial institutions and customer vendors
    Carry out thorough credit checks to enable the initiation of sound credit decisions
    Inform internal business partners of progress of credit investigation
    Communicate with customers when other special credit requirements or advance deposits are deemed necessary
    Perform other duties as required

Competencies and skills

    Previous experience in customer interaction
    Alpha and numeric data entry experience
    Strong verbal and written communications skills
    Solid analytical proficiencies
    Ability to organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints is required
    Must have previous A/R background
