Job description

Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager

Manages a team dedicated to the administration of the Bank's Commercial Loan portfolio, including evaluation of ongoing credit risk, capacity to repay, loan covenant monitoring, collateral monitoring, construction monitoring, and assessment of risk and timely reporting thereof.

Job Responsibilities โ€“

  • Reviews updated financial information as prescribed by loan documentation and prudent credit practice to affirm risk ratings on the commercial loan portfolio.
  • Manages the quarterly Watch List review process and reporting to the Chief Credit Officer (CCO).
  • Regularly review accounts under management for credit quality, documenting current obligor performance, collateral adequacy, and the impact of industry and competitive dynamics and economic events on creditworthiness.
  • Identify early warning signs of financial and/or operational deterioration or weakness that may lead to future collection issues and raise these to management's attention.
  • Monitors financial and non-financial covenant compliance.
  • Recommends changes to policy or procedures to CCO as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and execute workload priorities and delegate tasks within deadlines.
  • Manages and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Performs supervisory duties with assigned staff including mentoring and on the job training.

Education and Related Experience -

  • 5-7+ years previous banking experience with a focus on Commercial loans, preferably in a financial institution, required.
  • Previous Portfolio Management experience preferred.
