Collier.Simon is an independent, full-service creative agency in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. We work with our client partners to develop creative solutions that truly move the needle. Clients range from Fortune 500-type household names to up-and-comers across a variety of industries / verticals. Weโre in the midst of a tech-powered transformation, using AI to supercharge creativity, not replace it, and weโre looking for curious minds excited to explore AI as a tool to scale, spark, and speed up creativity.
Our innovation studio is where bold ideas meet real-world impact. We prototype, build, and scale intelligent systems that automate repetitive work and create new efficienciesโcombining cutting-edge tech with creative thinking to help teams work smarter, faster, and aim higher.
Weโre looking for a Creative Technologist who lives at the intersection of AI, automation, and creative problem-solving. This isnโt a โI use ChatGPT sometimesโ roleโwe need someone who understands how large language models actually work, can architect end-to-end workflows, and knows when AI meaningfully saves time versus when itโs just a shiny distraction. Youโll work directly with the Head of Creative Technology to translate complex creative needs into repeatable, scalable systems.
You Might Be a Fit If Youโฆ
- You can explain the difference between prompt engineering, context engineering, and fine-tuningโand you know when each matters
- Youโve built real workflows that connect AI tools to production pipelines, not just played with individual tools in isolation
- You think in systems: inputs, outputs, handoffs, edge cases, documentation
- You can translate a creative teamโs pain points into automated solutions without overengineering
- Youโre constantly testing new AI models, tools, and platformsโnot because itโs trendy, but because you want to understand whatโs actually useful
- Youโre a clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical teams and vice versa
- Youโd rather build something that works and hand it off cleanly than hoard knowledge
What Youโll Do
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows that support creative teams across the agency
- Advise on where AI meaningfully saves time or elevates craftโand push back when it doesnโt
- Translate creative briefs and production needs into repeatable, documented systems
- Prototype new tools and processes, test them in real workflows, and hand stable solutions off to production teams
- Scout and evaluate AI vendors, models, and platformsโseparating signal from hype
- Run creative QA on AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and brand consistency
- Maintain clear documentation for every tool, workflow, and system you build
- Act as a buffer between leadership vision and day-to-day execution, keeping work moving and teams unblocked
Requirements
- 3โ5 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, workflow automation, or creative technology
- Deep understanding of LLMs, generative AI models, and their practical applications in creative work
- Proven experience with prompt engineering, context window management, and output optimization
- Experience building automated workflows (Zapier, Make, custom scripts, API integrationsโwhatever gets the job done)
- Strong documentation habitsโyou leave things better than you found them
- Comfort working across disciplines: creative, production, strategy, and engineering
- Self-directed with strong judgmentโyou know when to push forward and when to ask questions
- Must be available to work standard PST hours
Bonus Points If Youโฆ
- Have agency or creative production experienceโyou understand the pace and the players
- Can write basic scripts (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to connect tools and automate tasks
- Have experience with version control, API development, or building internal tools
- Understand the Figma/Adobe ecosystem and how AI tools integrate with design workflows
- Have built or managed GPTs, custom AI agents, or similar AI-powered products
What We Offer
- A collaborative, forward-thinking creative culture where craft, experimentation, and systems thinking are all valued
- Fully remote work environment with PST-based hours
- Full-time salary and benefits including healthcare, 401(k), generous PTO, and professional development support
