Job description

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior and Exterior Sign Designer with a strong proficiency in production design. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating innovative signage solutions that enhance both indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires a keen eye for aesthetics, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and production teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with other designers and the production director to produce final design
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Design Development:

  • Create original designs for interior and exterior signage, including pylons, monuments, multi-tenant signs, directional signs, promotional displays, and architectural signs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating their ideas into effective signage solutions.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Prepare production-ready files for various manufacturing processes, including CAD files for channel letter machines, CNC machines, and other signage production equipment.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards and specifications for safety and durability.

Project Management:

  • Oversee projects from concept through to completion, managing timelines and coordinating with production teams.
  • Conduct site visits to assess locations and determine the best signage solutions based on environmental factors.
