Job description

*This position will report to our Indianapolis, IN office.

Our team is looking for a dedicated, creative Project Engineer interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address drinking water and wastewater issues such as quality, supply, reuse, treatment, management, and resilience. Collaborating with our experienced project management team, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO…

  • Understanding design concepts and necessary calculations to apply them to water, wastewater and stormwater drainage projects.
  • Developing engineering work of municipal water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including: 
    1. Planning and studies 
    2. Design 
    3. Construction administration and inspection 
    4. Preparing preliminary engineering reports that meet the requirements of funding agencies.
  • Preparing bidding documents for municipal public works projects 
  • Interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering projects that have unique and complex criteria.

 WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in Water Resources projects preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the civil engineering industry preferred. 
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) designation or Professional Engineering license (or the ability to acquire a license in Indiana through reciprocity).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think critically, manage time and problem solve. 
  • Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
  • Applicant must possess high ethical standards, have a strong sense of commitment to self -development, teamwork and a desire to work in a deadline-driven team environment.
