The University of Evansville Athletics Department invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Creative Content. This part-time position serves as the primary creative content producer for the Men's Basketball program and plays a key role in elevating the visibility, engagement, and brand of Purple Aces Athletics through innovative digital storytelling and social media content.
The successful candidate will work closely with coaches, student-athletes, athletics staff, and external stakeholders to develop engaging multimedia content that supports recruiting, fan engagement, community outreach, and overall program promotion.
Key Responsibilities
The Coordinator of Creative Content will lead content creation and social media efforts for the Men's Basketball program while supporting the overall brand strategy of University of Evansville Athletics.
Social Media Management
Manage all Men's Basketball social media accounts and content calendars.
Develop and execute creative strategies to increase engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth across digital platforms.
Create and publish timely content that highlights student-athletes, coaches, team accomplishments, and program initiatives.
Monitor social media trends and recommend new content approaches to enhance audience engagement.
Game Day & Season Coverage
Provide comprehensive social media and creative coverage for Men's Basketball home and away contests.
Create and distribute game day graphics, videos, and promotional content.
Produce postgame content, including highlight packages, recaps, and social media assets.
Capture and edit photo and video content during practices, games, and team activities.
Video Production & Creative Content
Produce four (4) custom home game introduction videos throughout the basketball season.
Create highlight videos, recruiting content, feature stories, and promotional materials.
Develop creative video content that enhances the game-day experience and supports program marketing efforts.
Ensure all content aligns with University and Athletics brand standards.
Special Events & Community Engagement
Provide content coverage for Men's Basketball Media Day.
Create social media and promotional content for key program events, including:
Men's Basketball Golf Outing
Purple Aces Basketball Dinner
Aces Assist initiatives
Community outreach and engagement activities
Assist with promoting special events and department initiatives through creative storytelling.
Collaboration & Program Support
Work closely with Athletics Communications, Marketing, Recruiting, and Coaching staffs to support program objectives.
Assist in developing content that supports recruiting efforts and showcases the student-athlete experience.
Collaborate with student-athletes and coaches to generate authentic and engaging content.
Support additional creative projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Sports Media, Graphic Design, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience in videography, video editing, and digital content creation.
Demonstrated ability to create compelling highlight videos, promotional content, and storytelling pieces.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital engagement strategies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in collegiate athletics, sports media, or sports marketing.
Experience creating game-introduction videos and in-venue entertainment content.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and related creative software.
Photography experience and familiarity with content management systems.
Understanding of NCAA Division I athletics and recruiting environments.
Working Environment
This position requires evening and weekend hours, particularly during the basketball season. Travel with the Men's Basketball program may be required. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
