Job Summary/Description:
WLBT is seeking a talented, driven, and creative Creative Services Producer to join our dynamic marketing and production team. In this role, you will be responsible for concepting, writing, producing, and delivering compelling commercial content and promotional material for local advertisers and station initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with our sales team, clients, and production crew to bring brand new stories to life across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional who thrives in a fast-paced broadcast environment and has a passion for storytelling, visual communication, and client service.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Concept & Write - Develop original scripts, storyboards, and creative concepts for local and regional advertisers across TV, CTV, digital, and social media platforms
- Produce & Direct - Oversee commercial productions from pre-production through final delivery, including on-location and in-studio shoots
- Edit & Post-Production - Edit video content using industry-standard software; manage graphics, music, voiceover, and color to deliver broadcast-ready spots
- Client Collaboration - Work directly with clients and the sales team to understand marketing goals and translate them into effective creative campaigns
- Project Management - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Promotional Content - Produce on-air promos, topical news teases, and station image campaigns that reflect the WLBT brand
- Stay Current - Keep up with trends in video production, advertising, and digital media to bring fresh ideas to every project
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Film Production, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2+ years of experience in video production, commercial production, or broadcast creative services
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling scripts for: 15, 30, and 60 commercial formats
- Proficiency in non-linear video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with clients, sales staff, and production teams
Preferred:
- Experience in local broadcast television or media production
- Motion graphics and animation experience (After Effects)
- Familiarity with CTV/OTT and digital video ad formats
- Reel or portfolio demonstrating a range of commercial and/or promotional work
