Principal Associate, Associate Creative Director-Brand

Brand is looking for an experienced creative professional to bring Capital One and its products to life across audiences and channels. If you're a champion of strategic ideas with exceptional leadership chops and a customer-focused marketing background, we want to hear from you.

As an associate creative director with the long-form creative team, you'll use evidence and data to define work, ground decisions and influence strategy-and then partner with creative teams to deliver elevated experiences.

WHAT YOUR TEAM DOES

You'll lead creative professionals who write, edit and design digital content with a focus on SEO-driven long-form articles. You'll be there to oversee the team's day-to-day work, and sometimes you'll lean in yourself to:

  • Write SEO-driven long-form content, short-form ads and other copy placements.

  • Edit long-form digital content for grammar, typos, AP style, tone and brand standards.

  • Fact-check content to ensure the work meets legal and SEO requirements

  • Hold your team, agencies and freelancers accountable based on enterprise and regulatory standards.

  • Source photography and create UX-friendly illustrations

Candidates must provide a portfolio for consideration

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in copywriting and editing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience leading creative teams or creative projects

  • 4+ years of experience editing long-form digital content for websites or blogs

  • 1+ years of experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Understanding of art direction and UX/UI design principles

  • Experience in the financial services industry or highly regulated industry

  • Experience applying Enterprise and Associated Press Book (AP Stylebook)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Sales Territory: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Brand Copywriter


McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Associate, Brand Copywriter


Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Brand Copywriter


New York, NY: $131,800 - $150,500 for Principal Associate, Brand Copywriter








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
