Responsibilities
Altec, Inc. is hiring a Creative Manager in Birmingham, AL (Corporate Office).
Position Summary
The Creative Manager serves as the single point of accountability for the intake, scheduling, prioritization, and on-time delivery of creative work across multiple subsidiary accounts. This individual translates business requests into sequenced, resourced delivery schedules, manages competing priorities with proactive communication, and ensures that every project advances through the pipeline on time, on strategy, and at the quality standard the Altec brand requires. The role demands a seasoned leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end creative intake process, ensuring each request is captured, scoped, prioritized, and resourced with clarity and consistency.
  • Translate account and stakeholder requests into sequenced delivery schedules aligned to the marketing team's demand planning calendar.
  • Manage shifting priorities across concurrent projects, communicating proactively and transparently with creative staff and account management.
  • Maintain comprehensive visibility into team workload and capacity, anticipating risks and resolving bottlenecks before they impact deadlines.
  • Partner with creative professionals and account managers to drive projects from kickoff through final delivery with accountability at every stage.
  • Establish and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting within established workflow and ticketing systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce rework, strengthen delivery reliability, and scale creative capacity.
  • Serve as a steady, trusted operational leader who reinforces quality, accountability, and brand integrity across all creative output.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2 years applicable experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 4 Years total applicable experience, direct leadership experience preferred.
  • Applicable master's counts as one year experience, not to exceed one year in total
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume, concurrent creative projects across multiple stakeholders and brands.
  • Proven ability to build and manage delivery schedules, allocate resources, and drive on-time, on-strategy execution.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management capabilities, with a track record of performing under pressure.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management and workflow platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Workfront, or comparable systems).
  • Working knowledge of creative production processes, brand governance, and quality standards.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented leader who brings calm, decisive judgment to a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
Financial Budgeting, Capital, and/or Manpower Responsibilities:
  • With oversight from his/her manager, directly supervises two or more associates within the Department he/she works
  • Conducts Compensation review and recommendations
  • Conducts performance reviews
