To thrive at a Creative Media Agency, you need strong creative thinking, visual design skills, and experience with multimedia content creation, often supported by a degree in design, marketing, or communications. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools, and social media platforms is typically required. What is a Creative Media Agency?

A Creative Media Agency is a company that specializes in developing and executing marketing, advertising, and branding strategies across various media platforms. These agencies typically provide services such as graphic design, video production, digital marketing, social media management, and content creation. Their goal is to help businesses and organizations effectively communicate their message, build brand awareness, and engage their target audience through creative and innovative media solutions.

What are some common challenges faced when working at a creative media agency, and how can they be managed?

Working at a creative media agency often involves balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines and adapting quickly to client feedback. Team members must collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, strategists, and account managers, which requires strong communication and organizational skills. Staying innovative while meeting client expectations can be challenging, but regular brainstorming sessions, clear project briefs, and open feedback channels help teams stay aligned and productive. Embracing flexibility and fostering a supportive work environment are key to managing these challenges effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Social Media Project Manager serves as the connective tissue between brand teams, an internal creative agency, and external media partners โ€” keeping social marketing programs on track, on budget, and on brand. Reporting to the Social Content Planner within a large internal agency, this role owns the operational side of social campaign execution from planning through delivery. It's a fast-paced, detail-driven role for someone who thrives on managing complexity across multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a large, globally recognized organization in the consumer health and nutrition industry with a robust internal creative and digital agency. Their team operates at the intersection of brand strategy, regulatory compliance, and social media execution, supporting both pediatric and adult health product lines across multiple channels.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage integrated project timelines across brand, internal agency, and media agency partners, including assumptions, risks, and timeline impacts
  • Own and maintain detailed trafficking sheets and operational documents to ensure all campaign assets launch accurately and on time
  • Organize and lead brand and agency status meetings, providing detailed recaps and action items
  • Administer RACI frameworks to clarify ownership and accountability across agency and brand teams
  • Coordinate campaign asset flow between internal creative teams, brand clients, and external media partners
  • Facilitate agency participation in weekly brand and MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) meetings
  • Support development of social planning calendars and integrated marketing programs across social channels
  • Monitor day-to-day program activity to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across all workstreams
  • Communicate proactively with brand teams and agency partners throughout the full project lifecycle

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in an agency environment in project management or client services
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience with campaign trafficking, social media operations, or media agency coordination
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with regulated industries or MLR review processes is a plus
