Description of Work
Create visual content that will be used for both print and digital applications. Among the responsibilities are: working with the Communications staff to develop, maintain and advance the athletics department brand identity through its various printed and digital publications, which include, but are not limited to: social media channels, official athletics website, media guides, game programs, posters, tickets and newsletters. Work with various sports and communications staff to create digital content across a variety of platforms to advance the brand identity of the Nebraska Department of Athletics. Work with the Creative and Emerging Media Department as part of a team to continue to develop and push the future brand of Nebraska.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, journalism or related field plus one (1) year of experience with creative media execution across digital and social platforms; equivalent education/experience will be considered.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe creative software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro or related programs as well as working knowledge of social media websites.
  • Must show knowledge and proficiency in cameras for both still and video.
  • Proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Applicants must supply a strong portfolio of previous work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate will have three (3) years' experience with creative media execution across digital and social platforms.
  • Previous experience in college athletics is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the internet and associated technologies, including web design software, preferred.
