 Position Summary:

 Lawrence Group is seeking a talented Design Professional with 7–15 years of architectural design experience in a professional studio environment to join our New York Design Studio. This position will have the opportunity to contribute to diverse architectural projects across retail, hospitality and med-tail markets.

 The key responsibilities include:

 Lead the design and development of projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, requirements, and brand identity, and translate them into innovative design solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and bid packages, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during the construction phase.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
  • Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural processes and practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to hospitality design, sustainability, and building performance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.

·         10-15 years of professional experience in design and architecture, preferably licensed.

·         Proven track record of successfully delivering complex hospitality projects from concept to completion.

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.

·         Strong design sensibility and a portfolio showcasing innovative and creative hospitality projects.

·         Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams.

·         Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

·         Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to hospitality design, as well as sustainable design principles and practices.

·         Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and analytically.

·         LEED accreditation and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Pay Range

In alignment with AIA, the range for the listed qualifications is $110,000 - $135,000. Final offer will be based off individual qualifications with relation to the 2025 AIA Report.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position may lead and mentor staff and is responsible for leadership, performance management within its department if assigned.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position requires no minimum ability to lift, bend or stand.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary.

 

Travel

Moderate travel is expected for this position.
