CREATIVE GOODS

Accounting & Billing Assistant


THE OPPORTUNITY:

CREATIVE GOODS is a dynamic full-service merchandising company based in NYC with a bold vision for the live entertainment space. Our experienced team of industry professionals works to establish partnerships that are built on trust, allowing us to better serve clients through clear communication, a streamlined workflow and creative product that captures the imagination.


THE ROLE:

The Accounting and Billing Assistant supports the Finance department by ensuring the accurate processing of accounts payable, billing, payroll, and financial records while assisting with the setup and maintenance of new shows and retail locations. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting operational workflows across NetSuite and Shopify, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll and accounting processes. This role reports to the Director of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter and process vendor bills in NetSuite.
  • Bill open purchase orders and reconcile invoices to purchase orders.
  • Process vendor invoices, including FedEx, SOS, OIA, and other service providers.
  • Bill prepaid purchase orders once merchandise has been received.
  • Assist with payroll processing by accurately entering payroll information and supporting payroll administration.
  • Track weekly sales and cash deposits using internal tracking reports.
  • Record, organize, and maintain venue and producer sales reports.
  • Coordinate new show and retail location setup by:
    • Creating Sales Channels in NetSuite.
    • Creating Locations in NetSuite and Shopify.
    • Establishing Asset Accounts in NetSuite.
    • Mapping Shopify locations to corresponding Sales Channels and Locations in NetSuite using the system connector.
    • Configuring Shopify and NetSuite product synchronization.
  • Maintain the NetSuite/Shopify connector by troubleshooting orders that fail to post to NetSuite and removing mappings for closed shows.
  • Maintain accurate financial and operational records.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree.
  • At least 1- 2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, billing, payroll, or a related administrative role.
  • Experience with accounting software; NetSuite experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling payroll and financial information.




COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The gross salary for this role is commensurate with experience and ranges between $50,000 to $55,000 annually - it is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime. As a full-time employee of Creative Goods Merchandise, LLC, this position is eligible to participate in the Company’s comprehensive benefits program following a 90-day waiting period for new enrollees. This program includes medical, dental, and vision care, core life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability coverage. After a year of service in any position, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the 401(k)-retirement account. Benefits are subject to the changes Creative Goods may make from time to time to its benefits programs.
