Job description

Now Hiring: Lead Merchandiser & Floor Support

Do you have an eye for great displays—and the ability to jump in and lead when needed?

We’re looking for a creative, hands-on team member to help drive the look, flow, and functionality of our garden center. This role combines visual merchandising, hard goods support, and occasional team leadership under the direction of store management.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain eye-catching, sales-driven displays using plants and hard goods
  • Ensure all display areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Assist with unloading, stocking, and organizing merchandise (primarily hard goods)
  • Execute seasonal themes, promotions, and floor transitions
  • Support daily floor operations and jump in where needed
  • Provide floor leadership when needed, helping guide team members and keep tasks on track under manager direction

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong sense of creativity and visual design
  • Ability to organize space and create engaging, shoppable displays
  • Comfortable lifting, moving, and working with plant material and hard goods
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on presentation and execution
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Ability to step into a leadership role when needed and support team direction

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in retail, merchandising, or garden center environments preferred
  • Interest in plants, gardening, or outdoor living products is a plus
  • Knowledge of lawn care products, chemicals, fertilizers, and animal repellents is a plus
  • Previous experience guiding or leading others is helpful—but not required
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership-support role

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A mix of creativity, physical work, and leadership
  • Opportunity to influence the look and feel of the entire store
  • Hands-on role with variety—no two days look the same

Help shape the space. Support the team. Bring it all together.
