Creative Director

Richardson Sports Inc.

Springfield, OR • On-site

Full-time

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

Description:

Richardson Sports is a premium brand focused on headwear, team uniforms, and performance apparel.

About the Role

The Creative Director reports directly to the President and will ensure that everything we put into the world is recognizable and unmistakably aligned with our brand promise: “It’s a Richardson.” They will lead the evolution of how Richardson shows up visually, responsible for refining and strengthening our existing creative foundation into a more focused, consistent visual expression of the values our fans recognize in us — fit, shape, and how our products look when worn—into a cohesive and compelling visual system across every touchpoint.

This position is fully on-site at our Springfield, OR headquarters.

What You’ll Do

  • Advance the Brand Vision

Evolve and sharpen Richardson’s creative direction by building upon what already works, creating a cohesive and enduring visual.

  • Own Visual Consistency Across Channels

Ensure all creative output—marketing, product merchandising, B2B materials, digital experiences, campaigns, trade show booths and brand assets—feels distinctly and recognizably Richardson.

  • Translate Brand Values Into Visual Expression

Bring the spirit behind “It’s a Richardson” to life by reflecting what customers consistently praise: fit, form, quality, and confidence when they wear our products.

  • Lead, Inspire, Produce, and Deliver Creative Execution

Provide strong creative leadership and direction to internal teams and external partners, setting clear standards while allowing room for creativity and innovation. Be a hands-on producer of exceptional design output.

  • Balance Brand and Business Needs

Collaborate closely with marketing, product, sales, and leadership teams to ensure creative solutions support both B2B and consumer audiences while driving business goals.

  • Build for Longevity

Develop systems, tools, and processes that allow the brand to scale while maintaining consistency, quality, and relevance over time.

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or senior creative leader within consumer, lifestyle, apparel, or brand-driven organizations
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating brand evolution, not just campaign-based work
  • Deep understanding of visual identity systems and how they function across multiple channels
  • Advanced skills using graphic design applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Ability to translate intangible brand values into clear, compelling creative output
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • 10 years of progressive management and leadership experience
  • Experience working with both B2B and consumer audiences is a plus

Why Richardson?

Richardson is a brand built on authenticity, craftsmanship, and trust. Our customers don’t just recognize our products—they feel them. This role is a unique opportunity to steward the visual representation of an established and growing brand, elevate how it shows up, and ensure that everything we create truly lives up to the simple, powerful truth: It’s a Richardson.
