Job description

For the last six decades, Garver has been designing projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Through this experience, Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. Do you enjoy making complex design ideas accessible to the public? Our Aviation team is looking for a Aviation Design Manager to help create design solutions for our aviation clients.
As part of the Aviation team for Garver, this Aviation Design Manager will have an opportunity to develop and edit conceptual design deliverables in support of various projects across the United States. Diversity in high-volume, large scale aviation projects will allow the candidate to be directly engaged in the production of marketing and design phase deliverables including detailed project approaches, technical reports, specifications or narratives, and document assembly.
What you'll do:
Generally, the responsibilities of this role will entail working with several different teams of mostly engineers to develop conceptual designs for marketing pursuits collaborate with a multi-disciplined staff in the creation of marketing materials, and technical reports for various types of projects including terminal programs, airfield pavements, hangar facilities, electrical NAVAIDs, and aviation planning. The ideal candidate would experience with aviation design for both commercial and general aviation airports, as well as the ability to provide outstanding service to internal clients.
Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Project Management of conceptual designs for proposals
  • Coordinate efforts from technicians and technical writers to support of deliverables.
  • Creation and collaboration on airport designs.
  • Work with Project Managers and Engineers to incorporate the appropriate level of detail in each deliverable
  • Participate in project progress meetings

Some occasional travel may be required for industry related conference attendance or project specific meetings. Due to the collaborative nature of coordination for large infrastructure projects, candidates must have the ability to seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members. In addition, the candidate should be able to maintain a positive team attitude and interpersonal effectiveness to work within a team environment.
Projected Compensation Range $108,600 to $165,800
(salary range considers differences in incentive compensation commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance)
