Job Description:

The Creative Strategist contributes to the development and execution of insight-driven marketing solutions that elevate the Gate City Bank brand and drive business results. This role combines design expertise with strong problem-solving skills to develop written and visual content, messaging and creative concepts that support integrated marketing efforts. The Creative Strategist works in close partnership with the Marketing Strategy team to translate business objectives, audience insights and marketing plans into compelling marketing solutions.

The position operates as a proactive partner across the Marketing department, bringing forward ideas, identifying opportunities and executing solutions from concept through delivery. The Creative Strategist is responsible for both developing creative concepts and personally creating and producing the work, including asset creation, adaptations, updates and ongoing maintenance of marketing materials, transforming insights into effective written, visual and multimedia marketing assets across a variety of external and internal touchpoints including print, digital, events and marketing collateral.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop creative strategies that align with brand, business goals, marketing priorities and campaign objectives.

  • Translate insights, data and stakeholder input into clear creative concepts and content approaches.

  • Concept, design and produce high-quality creative assets across integrated channels including print, digital, events and marketing collateral.

  • Execute hands-on art production work, ensuring accuracy, quality and adherence to brand and compliance standards.

  • Align creative work with direction established by the Lead Brand and Creative Strategist, incorporating feedback to strengthen output.

  • Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities, contribute ideas and deliver effective marketing solutions.

  • Present creative concepts and work to stakeholders, clearly communicating intent and approach.

  • Apply performance insights and industry trends to continuously improve creative effectiveness.

  • Manage multiple projects with strong organization, problem-solving and a sense of urgency.

Other Duties:

  • Deliver a consistently exceptional service experience for both team members and customers.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and external partners.

  • Demonstrate reliability and accountability in attendance to support operational needs and service expectations.

  • Comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all responsibilities.

  • Exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions in a fastpaced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Two- or four-year degree in graphic design, marketing, communications or related field; 5 years professional experience in creative, content or marketing roles; or a combination of education and experience demonstrating strategic and creative expertise.

Other Skills:

  • High level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect creative solutions to business outcomes.

  • Print, digital, photography and video design experience preferred.

  • Ability to concept, write and guide creative across multiple formats and channels.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Ability to interpret and apply data and insights to inform creative direction.

  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.

  • Demonstrates openness to coaching and collaboration to continuously elevate creative and strategic contributions.
