SUMMARY
We are seeking a Creative Director to drive the development of high quality creative concepts and execution for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment's properties. This highly collaborative role will steward the development of campaigns that resonate with target audiences and elevate our brands across all visual mediums. The individual will lead a diverse group of creatives and be responsible for managing efficient department operations, delivering projects on timeline & within budget and overseeing resource allocations across all creative initiatives.
The Creative Director will craft dynamic integrated campaigns, visual identities, style guides and experiential activations that reflect the DNA of Brooklyn and inspire our fans. The individual will help translate marketing strategies into compelling executions that deliver against business goals. This role is central to shaping the identity of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment's brands and overseeing the end-to-end creative process for deliverables across a wide range of mediums inclusive of in-venue, social media, web, app, email, out-of-home, experiential and print.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of art directors, designers, copywriters, and additional creatives, while fostering a culture of accountability, care, integrity & growth mindset
  • Partner with Marketing stakeholders to develop integrated concepts, craft narratives and execute 360-degree campaigns
  • Create and present on-brief creative solutions with clarity and conviction
  • Govern a highly efficient operating model for the Creative team, inclusive of managing process/workflows and navigating creative reviews, project prioritization & staff bandwidth
  • Implement a system to address rapid response projects, working to diagnose business needs, identify solutions and allocate resources effectively in consolidated timeframes
  • Cultivate trust-based relationships with Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment executive leaders, providing thought leadership and fostering a deep understanding of their businesses that translates into impactful creative
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships and Ticketing departments to craft compelling campaigns and presentations that deliver against business goals with both consumers & business clients
  • Guide the creation of unique designs for merchandise that will resonate with target audiences, further our brand storytelling and inspire conversion on product sales
  • Serve as a steward for our brands, ensuring the usage of consistent design standards across all creative executions
  • Manage and motivate team members, providing direction, mentorship and coaching that facilitates their personal development and helps manifest efficient, high-quality work

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • 10+ years of experience in Creative roles with brands and/or agencies, with experience leading and managing teams of diverse creatives, while growing culturally relevant brands
  • Expertise in creative direction, with a strong foundation in graphic design and/or copywriting
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, media, culture and/or lifestyle sectors is preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow a high performing team: set goals, provide coaching, delegate responsibilities, hold staff accountable for outcomes & provide critical feedback
  • Deep understanding of visual storytelling and leading high-impact advertising campaigns
  • Operational acumen and the ability to balance creative vision with logistical demands
  • Proven track record in successfully executing creative projects within budget and on timeline
  • Exceptional leadership skills, empowering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Executive presence and the ability to build deep relationships at all levels of an organization
  • A strong portfolio showcasing impactful multi-platform creative and campaign work

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

SALARY RANGE:
$170,000 - $190,000 base salary
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays, when applicable.
