Job description

Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, is seeking a skilled and responsible Maintenance Associate to join our Maintenance Team. This position performs a variety of general maintenance duties, including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and repair work throughout our museum facilities and grounds.

Paisley Park is an active museum, state-of-the-art recording studio, and concert venue. For nearly 30 years, the facility served as Prince's home, creative sanctuary, and production complex. Fulfilling Prince's vision that Paisley Park would one day be open to the public, the venue today welcomes fans, musicians, and audiophiles from around the world for tours, concerts, festivals, and special events.

Pay range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily maintenance issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and well-maintained conditions.
  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Move, load, unload, and store supplies, furniture, and equipment.
  • Complete painting projects and gypsum board (drywall) repair and installation.
  • Empty trash and maintain the exterior grounds and perimeter of the property.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and artists.
Qualifications
  • General maintenance experience preferred, including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and facility repair work.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and climb ladders safely.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when inspecting or repairing hard-to-reach areas.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to cope with environmental stressors such as loud noises.
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
