Peregrine Technologies

San Francisco, CA • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 19 days ago

Job description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society's challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence - instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people - and we're amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.
The Role
Peregrine is looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead and evolve our brand identity, build our first brand campaigns and help convey what we stand for through creative campaigns and experiences. From public works to public safety, hundreds of cities across the US and Canada run on Peregrine.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will lead an established team of creatives to refine our brand design systems, bring our product and customers to life, and solve complex brand challenges in close partnership with the product, engineering, sales and executive leadership teams. This year, Peregrine has been expanding into new global regions and segments, with commercial businesses increasingly adopting Peregrine's full-stack AI and data integration platform. You are a strategic thinker who understands how to bridge the gap between sophisticated technology and human-centric storytelling, particularly given the differing priorities across diverse customer segments.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the evolution and execution of Peregrine's brand strategy and help shape the company's first brand campaigns.
  • Partner with product marketing, growth marketing, and leadership to position Peregrine's responsible AI platform and bring products, customers, and impact to life.
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers and agency partners, while helping the team continue to grow.
  • Oversee the full brand system, including visual identity, motion, digital, and environmental design, and maintain the supporting design resources and templates.
  • Concept, design, and art-direct emotionally resonant campaigns and brand experiences across advertising, recruiting, events, and talent brand initiatives.
  • Serve as a key brand advisor to the executive team and translate complex business goals into clear, compelling creative work.
  • Manage multiple projects end-to-end with strong prioritization, clear timelines, and cross-functional communication.
What We Look For
  • 15+ years of experience in art direction and brand design, with a proven track record in both top-tier creative agencies and high-growth in-house environments.
  • A portfolio of work showcasing mastery in branding, interactive web/mobile design, video, and integrated marketing for complex technology.
  • Persuasive presentation and communication skills and the ability to tie creative to strategy and goals, understanding the relationship between business strategy and brand design, with the ability to translate complex concepts (like data governance and semantic ontology) into innovative branding experiences that resonate with customers and communities alike.
  • Experience building and leading high-performance creative teams in a fast-paced environment; ability to drive multiple initiatives with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Located in San Francisco and willing to come into the office 4x/week.
