CRAFTY BEAVER HOME CENTER, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, is seeking candidates for our

PART-TIME STOCKER/LOAD BUILDER position at our LAWRENCE AVENUE location in CHICAGO, IL.

What You Will Do and How You Will Contribute: 

  • Engage with customers, greet, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience
  • Help customers find the right products, provide recommendations and offer solutions for their projects
  • Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store
  • Answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries
  • Assist with inventory-related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records
  • Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty
  • Follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations
  • Process checkouts accurately, adhering to proper cash handling procedures
  • Continuously expand knowledge of products across all departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities
  • Address and resolve customer issues with management support
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Complete all assigned training to stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies
  • Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management

  • Proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Previous retail or related industry experience is a plus

  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs, bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout your shift
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required by the business
