CPU Microarchitect/RTL Design Engineer – Leading Semiconductor Company – Up to $350,000 base + bonuses

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and passionate CPU Microarchitect to join their elite team. In this role, the CPU Microarchitect will be responsible for designing and optimizing the microarchitecture of their next-generation CPUs, driving performance, power efficiency, and overall system-level improvements. They will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, designers, and software engineers, to deliver industry‑leading CPU solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the microarchitecture design and optimization of high-performance CPUs for cutting-edge SoC products.
  • Collaborate with architects to define microarchitectural specifications and performance goals.
  • Develop innovative microarchitectural features and optimizations to improve performance, power efficiency, and system-level capabilities.
  • Conduct performance analysis, modeling, and simulations to evaluate and refine microarchitectural design decisions.
  • Work closely with design and verification teams to ensure successful implementation and verification of the microarchitecture.

Requirements
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong expertise in CPU microarchitecture design, performance analysis, and optimization.
  • Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for performance evaluation and analysis.
