Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in Anaheim, CA. This role is responsible for the safety and security of the organization's property, products, and people. The FSO must support the company's interests through all aspects of the 32 CR Part 117 - National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and other government regulations for a cleared Department of Defense contractor facility, as well as customer and L3Harris defined security requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Process security clearances and tracks investigations via DISS
  • Ensure control of classified and controlled unclassified holdings including compliance with NN-801 and NIST 800-171 (CMMC) regulations
  • Prepare, issue, and track DD254s and audit subcontractor security programs as applicable
  • Develop and administer a comprehensive security education training program and provide regular security training, including new hire orientation.
  • Manage and implement physical security safeguards for the protection of personnel, information, and property in a cost effective, risk appropriate manner
  • Responsible for 24/7 physical security of MPES Anaheim and Gardena sites
  • Provide security guidance to leadership at the MPES Anaheim and Gardena locations
  • Develop and implement security policy and provide direction consistent with organizational, DoD, and other government regulations
  • Work with the ISSM/ISSO to audit all accredited and CMMC certified information systems and related COMSEC equipment
  • In the absence of the Site Security Manager, responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the security team. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints; attending site leadership meetings; and resolving problems
  • Must be willing to travel <25% of the time

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active SECRET Clearance
  • Must have current FSO Certification
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team. Typically has strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated policy/procedure writing skills in previous roles
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, learn new skills quickly, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated
  • ISP Certification, CPP or other industrial security certification preferred
  • Demonstrate a service-oriented attitude when executing job duties
  • Familiarity with NIST security standards (e.g. Risk Management Framework and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $88,000- $164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
